Following on from our piece late last year regarding New York’s infamous Brooklyn Bowl opening its doors this side of the pond, more details have been unveiled regarding the launch of the new 800-capacity venue at London’s O2.

Set to officially open its doors on 16th January, the concert venue / bowling alley / diner will feature three nights of performances by The Brooklyn Bowl All-Star Players, a collective of Brooklyn’s finest funk and soul musicians from Daptone’s Antibalas and Royal Family Records’ Lettuce and Soulive.

The original Brooklyn Bowl, which opened in NY’s famous district in 2009, has become renowned in a short space of time, featuring a diverse range of acts, including Kanye West, Adele, Big Boi, Moby, Talib Kweli, HAIM and many more. Speaking of the forthcoming London launch, owner Peter Shapiro said: “When thinking of another city that’s as influential on global culture as New York, there’s only one that immediately stands out….. and that, of course, is London. We’re thrilled to be bringing the Bowl’s unique and multi-pronged vibe to what really is the most important city in the world.”
