N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell Williams has earned the coveted accolade of being awarded the final UK Number One single of 2013 with Despicable Me 2 soundtrack inclusion, Happy.

The song, which knocked X Factor winner Sam Bailey’s Skyscraper off the top spot, rose from second place last week, after lingering in the charts for over a month. Bailey’s efforts dropped to Number Two, whilst Avicii’s Hey Brother (at 3), Jason Derulo’s Trumpets (4) and Eminem and Rihanna’s duet The Monster (5) all rose to complete this week’s Top 5.

The Top 5 in the Official UK Album Charts remained the same as last week, with no new editions, however inclusions did swap slightly. Robbie Williams’ Swings Both Ways remained at the top spot, whilst Gary Barlow (2), One Direction (3), Beyonce (4) and Olly Murs (5) made up the rest of the chart.
