Following last week’s announcement of the addition of a Birmingham leg, along with confirmed dates, the venue of London’s 2014 Wireless Festival is likely to move to Finsbury Park, after Haringey Council approved a licensing application earlier this week.

Originally sited at London’s Hyde Park, the event was moved last year to the newly-built Olympic Park, following complaints from neighbours regarding noise levels. However sources close to the event said that whilst Olympic Park was a ‘good venue in publicity terms, there were issues with using the space for a music festival which have not yet been resolved, which is why Live Nation decided to look for another London space for its summer city centre festivals programme’.

Wireless Festival has been confirmed for 4th-6th July next year, with tickets set to be available in January.
