Iconic BBC music show Top Of The Pops is to return to the BBC this Christmas with two festive specials.

Presented by Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates, the one-hour shows will air on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, celebrating the biggest hits and most successful acts of 2013.

Top Of The Pops Christmas (25 December, 2-3pm) will feature exclusive performances from some of 2013’s biggest stars including John Newman, One Republic, Ellie Goulding, Tom Odell, Jessie J, Chase & Status feat. Moko, Rizzle Kicks, Rudimental, James Blunt, Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith, and The Saturdays. Twenty years since they first topped the charts, Boyzone will also make a welcome return to the Top Of The Pops stage and the hour-long festive feast of pop will culminate in the countdown to this year’s all-important Christmas No.1.

Fearne and Reggie return to get the New Year’s Eve celebrations underway in Top Of The Pops New Year (31 December, 5.30-6.30pm), reviewing the year in music with special performances from some of the acts who’ve topped the charts in 2013. Little Mix, The 1975, The Vamps, Tinie Tempah feat. John Martin, James Arthur, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, John Newman, Chase & Status feat. Jacob Banks and London Grammar will be bringing the curtain down on 2013 with exclusive performances. The show will also feature the final No.1 of the year.

Reggie Yates says: “Rather like Christmas dinner, falling asleep in front of the telly and celebrating with family, hosting Top Of The Pops is fast becoming a yearly tradition for me and one I look forward to every year. With a great line up of acts this year’s shows promise to be as epic as ever.”

Chase & Status says: “After a fantastic 12 months involving the release of our third studio album, playing our first arena tour and some of the best headline festival shows we’ve done to date, performing on such a classic show is the perfect way to end the year.”
