US R&B artist Robin Thicke has grabbed his first UK number one single with his new track Blurred Lines. The song, featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams not only earns Thicke the coveted position, but also has earned him the title of the fastest selling single of 2013 so far.

Just under 200,000 copies of Blurred Lines were purchased during its first week on sale in the UK, pushing Sam Smith’s La La La, last week’s No.1, into No. 2.

Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, which quickly became one of the sounds of summer, has dropped to 3, whilst Passenger achieved his first Top 10 single with Let Her Go (No. 4). Jessie J’s new single Wild was the only new entry this week, sneaking in at No. 5.
