Even though M.I.A.’s next LP ‘Matangi’ isn’t set for release for another month, whet fans’ appetites with the release of an extended mix of the same name. The Sri Lankan artist teamed up with the Kenzo fashion label to release the 8-minute mix that was used as the soundtrack during last week’s Paris Fashion Week.
In true M.I.A. style, the mix fuses the artist’s favoured melodies – combining crazy beats over an even crazier bass, whilst throwing in some Bollywood-style vocals and melodies.
